About Us

Buniyaad is a Non-Profit Organization striving towards its mission of "Educating minds... Strengthening roots....laying foundation for a better tomorrow" and is run by a group of committed individuals working towards fulfilling social objectives. Buniyaad aims to impart value education to children and promote overall development of children and adults from the less privileged sections of our society. Buniyaad was working with "balwaadis" (pre-schools for less-privileged children) providing quality pre-primary education, since 2000.

Since 2007, Buniyaad has been running English Medium Playgroups & Nurseries, independently for the underprivileged children in their localities. The 1st English Playgroup & Nursery was launched at Vikhroli Parksite, Mumbai with 20 children. The classroom is part of the home of a resident in the locality, or community space, which is rented out to Buniyaad for the duration of the session. The success of the Nursery resulted in setting up of more Nurseries in other localities in the subsequent years.

In 2007, Buniyaad also launched a Certificate Course in Elementary English Conversation for the adults of the underprivileged sections. The batches that passed out are gainfully employed or studying.

Buniyaad is a registered Public Charitable Trust (October 2005) under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950.
